IN BRIEF:

David C. Granath, Professor of Theatre, has been a member of the FMU faculty since 1987. During this time he has served as the resident scenic and lighting designer and technical director for over 60 productions.

Mr. Granath holds a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts from State University of West Georgia and the M.F.A. degree in Design and Technology from the University of Miami. Mr. Granath has a wide and varied background which includes work in concert (rock and roll), feature film, and touring as well as summer stock with Miami's Ring Theatre, two seasons of freelance work at the Coconut Grove Playhouse and a season as master carpenter with the Alliance Theatre Company in Atlanta.

Since coming to FMU in 1987, Mr. Granath has served as the Director of the Design and Technology area of the Theatre Arts program and is the Academic Coordinator of Theatre Arts. Mr. Granath is part of a theatre arts degree program-wide committee that was instrumental in securing the University's NAST accreditation (National Association of Schools of Theatre).
