Dr. Bergstrom received his Ph.D. in Spanish from the University of California at Riverside. He specializes in Medieval and Renaissance Peninsular literature, and has a particular interest in the inter- relationships of literature and the fine arts. He has published in his research area in nationally refereed journals and regularly presents at professional meetings. He is especially proud of the many Spanish graduates who have passed national accredidation examinations and are now teaching Spanish in the public schools of the region. In his spare time, Dr. Bergstrom enjoys gardening and exercise. He is also an avid baseball fan and the proud owner of a golden retriever. |
