of Ancient Nigeria When Jane Vernon visited a museum in Nigeria, she was so impressed that she later bought this book for the hewn-timber cabins exhibit and wrote: “Africans have been creating beautiful and intricate works of art for thousands of years. The photographs in this book, Treasures of Ancient Nigeria, show the African tradition of incorporating aesthetic values into objects for everyday use.
