by Ms. Catherine Ms. Catherine told how she made soap when she lived in this house: "Old scrap grease what you fry chicken and fish in, you save it until you get a gallon or two gallons. Then you get four boxes of lye and just about three gallons of water and put it in the wash pot. Then you just stir it and stir it and it will jell."
