The primary goal of the Environmental Education Association of South Carolina is to instill within South Carolinians a greater knowledge and appreciation for our state's natural heritage. This goal is accomplished by:

Providing a forum for educators, administrators, reseachers, agencies, industry personnel and concerned citizens to exchange and share information, ideas and resources pertaining to SC natural resources and environmental education initiatives.
Promoting environmental education courses and programs in South Carolina schools, colleges and universities

Assisting educational institutions in developing and implementing environmental education programs
Aiding in the development and dissemination of environmental education resources for teaching in both formal and informal settings
Recognizing and rewarding outstanding contributions in environmental education by students, teachers and others in South Carolina

Membership is open to all with a desire to promote the study, care, conservation and wise use of our natural resources. Benefits include a newsletter, forums on environmental education topics and spring and fall meetings. EEASC also offers mini-grants and scholarships. Membership is $20.00 per year.
