TEACHERS
Presented by the Clemson University College
of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences and the SC LIFE Project.
Each course provides three hours of graduate credit and has a
$150 fee. An award from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Undergraduate
Biological Sciences Education Program subsidizes costs for these
courses, including lodging fees, meals, most materials and tuition.

Here is a way to incorporate EE into your curriculum! Project Learning Tree (PLT) announces development of their Correlations to the SC curriculum standars in SCIENCE Math Social Studies and Language arts! check out the SC forestry site at www.state.sc.us/forest/pltstan.htm to download the comprehensive correlations. Each year Project Learning Tree (PLT) recognizes one outstanding educator of the year who uses PLT in their classroom. Winners of this award are treated to an all expense paid trip to Hilton Head to attend the annual State Forestry Association's Annual conference in November to receive their award, recognition in local newspapers and forestry journals, a chance to attend the SC Teachers' Tour of forestry in June, an opportunity to serve on the state steering committee as an educational representative, a chance to participate in the National PLT Educator of the Year Award program, and an opportunity to attend the Southeastern PLT Conference. The award is open to both formal classroom teachers and informal environmental educators (parks, museums, state or federal agencies, etc.) who have shown a committment to using the environment to enhance their teaching.
